Review summary

I thought the onboard photographs were beautiful. But they were too expensive. $25 dollars each or $249 for everything. A lot of photos were left over. I would have bought a couple if there was some kind of special of 6 for $100.0, or something similar. In the end, I did not buy any pictures.

Onboard Activities

Hot tub, Lotus spa for pedicure and hair blow out for Formal night

Entertainment

There was a lot of variety. Found the nightclub on a sail away night and it was only open to Elite sailors. That was disappointing. on other cruise ships I had enjoyed an upper deck lounge.

Service and Staff

Jimmy the cabin serviceman was great. Our dining waiters were excellent.

I liked being on the Riverira deck. I just had to walk up one flight to the Horizon Buffet!

Ship tip

Don't try to do too much. Relax and enjoy the cruise.

Ports of call

Astoria, Oregon

Tour to Cannon Beach was lovely, I didn't need to go to Seaside, it was boring.

San Francisco, California

5 out of 5
Loved it! it was so easy to walk off and enjoy the city without paying for a tour! So much to see. I would have liked to have time to bike the Golden Gate Bridge.

Santa Barbara, California

3 out of 5
Solvang was okay. Long drive there and back. I wished I had just walked off and explore Santa Barbara on my own.

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

3 out of 5
Long beach felt like I was just killing time for my flight. Next time, I will just transfer to the airport at an earlier time.

Dutch3901 - way too funny!!!

I agree that one might think a discount at the end would make sense. Once known, everyone would wait and buy end of cruise. Supposedly, all the film is recycled. Also, digital is here so there will be no waste soon, and probably no discounts either. Nice thought though.

I swear, if the ship was going down, they would have you pause and pose for a photo as you were getting into the life boat ("if you make it, you can buy these at the port")...but we buy them..😊

Last year on the royal princess the price for all the pictures was 199.00...that was for the 1st 10days, the second 10days they had a special of 99.00 for all your pictures...
