Review summary

This was a wonderful getaway cruise for two adults with no children. Even our second-seating dining table only included one couple also without children. They enjoyed this cruise as much as we did, proving you don’t have to be a kid or be with kids to enjoy a Disney cruise.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We expected long lines so arrived early. Apparently many others had the same thought. However, the process was very smooth and moved much faster than expected. Service people were super helpful and friendly.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in each of the main dining room was superb. We did not eat in any of the specialty dining. Portion sizes were great and loved the optioms available for both meat eaters and vegetarians.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
This was a kid-free trip for us and there is an adult-only pool on the ship as well as two hot tubs. Most of the time I would have the whole pool to myself!

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Nightly live performances were spectacular. They really prepare to provide top-notch entertainment.

Children's Programs

There were no children in our party.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
There are simply not enough words to express how wonderfully friendly and professional everyone we met was to us. Early mornings, late evenings; didn’t matter. Great service from embarkation to disembarkation and everything in between.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
There were always service people cleaning and sanitizing. With that many people, and most of them children, they don’t risk anyone getting sick from germs.

Cabin / Stateroom

The room was perfect for us since it was only two. Having the sink and commode separate from the shower and another sink was a brilliant design. We each had our own bathroom sink and mirror to dress for evening events. The only thing I wish had been different is a way to curtain off the second sleeping area with the pull-out bed that blocked the TV. My roommate slept with the TV on but also in the bed, but the TV was on the pull-out side with the light right in my face. We managed but wish the TV had been on a swivel to move outside my area.

Ship tip

If your prone to sea-sickness, get a room near the center of the ship. Feel less motion.

By far my favorite part of the cruise. The water was so clear and beautiful that I could see fish swimming and I was only wearing googles bot snorkeling equipment.

Falmouth, Jamaica

Ate at Margaritaville, which was fantastic, and did some wonderful shopping in town. Didn’t care much for the cab experience, which required 1) the bus to be full before it would leave, 2) everyone to go to the same beach. Problem is not everyone was on the same cruise ahip and departure was at different times, which impacted the decision in distance. I already knew which beach we wanted to go but was outruled by others who wanted to stay close. This decision resulted in a terrible beach with lots of seaweed and just not a great experience. The only upside was the great jerk chicken and very strong drinks. Next time I’ll plan better and get a private car to drive us where we want. These are harder to find without a reservation.

Disembarkation

They really have it together at Disney and the Galveston port. Everything was super organized and efficient. We even got to have breakfast before we headed on the ship.
