Review summary
You'd think with the price paid to go on a wonderful Disney Cruise you would have some of the basics advertised included. Then you find out they are adding gratuities after the fact for little or no service associated. Also, have small item prices under larger items and then you get charged an excessive price that isn't advertised anywhere. Beware.

We've sailed with Disney three times (with a fourth booked for next year) and Disney's policies are in line with Carnival, NCL and others in regard to gratuities. Gratuities for servers, housekeeping, etc may be paid in advanced or at the end of your cruise. Paying gratuities, of course, is at your discretion. Gratuities can also be expected on any beverage order around the ship (cocktails, specialty coffee, etc.) or added to meals ordered at specialty restaurants.
Disney is also very flexible when it comes to returns on items purchased in their shops. If buyer's remorse kicks in an item can always be returned.
Customer service is a priority for Disney and they are always quick to address issues should any problems arise.

Most cruise line add on a gratuity charge so Disney is not unusual in this respect. I have never cruised on a Disney Ship and hope to do so one day. I was wondering what you did in port? Did you take any shore excursions or did you just walk around on your own?

Thank you for the review. I keep an eye on Disney feedback because it is one line we have not been inclined to get on. This just reinforces why we choose other lines.
