Review summary

Service and food were excellent, ship was beautiful, but the disembarkation and itinerary changes essentially ruined the trip for my family. We chose the Disney Cruise line for its quality reputation, but the overall experience was that we did not get what we paid for. Disney should have provided the opportunity to change to another date before we boarded because we would never have chosen a stop in Mexico. They also need to manage disembarkation far better than our experience.

Not available- our itinerary was changed without notifying us until we were on board, and we were told we could not change/cancel sine we had already boarded. We were diverted to Cozumel which was an awful experience

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

Not available- our itinerary was changed without notifying us until we were on board, and we were told we could not change/cancel sine we had already boarded. We were diverted to Cozumel which was an awful experience, and we ended up with only one port of call, which was not what we paid for.

Disembarkation

The best description is that it was a disaster. We were delayed 6-7 hours due to port closure, and although they tried to provide activities, people had to be out of their staterooms and wandered the boat with luggage in tow. For over an hour, at least a thousand people gathered in the great hall waiting for disembarkation; it was extremely congested which is horrible in for trying to prevent COVID spread. There was no organization and people were everywhere with all of their luggage.
