Review summary

Disney cruises always seem to be the best when it comes to customer service and care. This cruise was no different and was even better than a Disney cruise I took two years ago. The staff was very professional and courteous in every respect, especially in the dining rooms. From our cabin steward up to the Captain of the ship - who we actually met on more than one occasion - there was never a time when we didn't feel appreciated and could easily converse with the crew. One would think a transatlantic crossing would lack activities but on the contrary - we left the cabin in the morning and usually didn't return until dinner, and entertainment aboard is the best on the seven seas. We will do another Disney cruise for sure.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The rotational dining concept works.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Too much to do - has to miss some activities at the expense of others.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Disney shows were superb. Other entertainment was just OK.

Children's Programs

Not applicable - we did not travel with any children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Simply the best. Joy Vusani was our Server and after 12 cruises she was the best we've ever had.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Finding dirt was a challenge. We did see dusty blinds in one pub. That's all.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Even though this was an inside cabin we had a large sofa and a bathroom with a bath tub large enough to bathe in. Our climate control was the best we've ever had on any cruise ship.

Ship tip

This was the first voyage following a two-week drydock. There were some issues to resolve in certain areas related to construction in the concierge level but that didn't affect 99% of the guests on board. Elevators are too small-a single wheelchair or electric scooter occupies the entire elevator.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
Barcelona was the cleanest and friendliest European City we've visited.

Funchal, Madeira

5 out of 5
Take the around-the-island tour bus. Great views and best way to see entire island with limited time.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

5 out of 5
Not necessary to be first off the ship - plenty of space and time to enjoy activities and lunch.

Miami, Florida Did not visit port

Not applicable - we simply departed from the airport.
