Review summary

From start to finish, this cruise was superb in every way!

Embarkation

Disney is so well organized! Even though there were lines when we arrived at the port at 11:30 am, in about twenty minutes, we were checked in and boarding the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We loved the rotation of dining rooms and our wait staff, Agung and Made were absolutely the best servers. They were very efficient and entertaining! The food was excellent in all venues from dining room to Cabanas buffet. The soft serve ice cream was obviously a huge hit (just look at the lines mid-afternoon!) and the Mickey Bars were a MUST every evening after dinner.

Onboard Activities

The AquaDuck was the favorite of the grandsons. They also enjoyed playing miniature golf, foosball and shuffleboard. The Midship Detective Game was entertaining also. We all enjoyed watching The Incredibles 2 in the theater one afternoon.

Service and Staff

Every staff member is so friendly and accomodating to any request to you may have. Captain Marco was the BEST captain we have ever sailed with. He was extremely friendly and took time to visit with our family at formal night as well as the captain's sailing.

Ship Quality

Everything on board was clean and sparkling. It was not unusual to see staff painting, repairing and cleaning.

Ship tip

Even though Disney may cost more than other cruises, it is so worth it. Disney never disappoints!

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

Chakanaab National Park is a great place for families. We swam with the dolphins and snorkeled. Easy to DIY.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We did the Sting Ray City Sandbar and snorkeling cruise with Cayman Eco Adventures. Captain Greg was the best. The rays love him, and he was very gentle with them and made sure we interacted safely and securely with them also. The snorkeling at the reef was right by the sandbar and was really good. In places the coral came right up to the surface.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We did an excursion through Patrice Bailey. She was excellent in helping arrange the details. Nicole greeted us at the pier and Chester Anderson was our driver and guide for the day. He was fantastic! He was very informative; took pictures of us on the Rio Bueno River Tubing Adventure. (Which by the way, was AWESOME thanks to our guide, Aret) We then spent several hours at Blue Water Beach Club where we were well taken care of. The food (grilled chicken sandwich) was really good and the beach is nice.

Castaway Cay (Disney Private Island)

An absolutely gorgeous beach. We did not do an excursion - the kids enjoyed Pelican Plunge and the platform with the rope ladders. We snorkeled early; however, it is a fairly long swim to see the sunken ships and Mickey. The grandsons and grandparents did not make it out to see Mickey, but we did see a sunken ship with a few fish. The beach and swimming area is awesome. The BBQ lunch provided by the ship was great, and it was fun to see the staff out enjoying the day also.
