Overall it was probably the best cruises we went on. All of us had a great time and plenty for everyone to do. The adult area was awesome. The kids had a blast and it’s been a week since we been off the boat and are begging me to book another. Well worth the price.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Easy and hassle free
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
This was our 6th cruise, 1st with Disney, and the food quality seemed a little better in both the buffet and the main dining rooms.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I feel like there was so much to do everyday that it was a bit overwhelming and missed out on a lot. What we were able to do it was awesome. Us adults enjoyed the Rainforest room in the spa everyday while the kids were at club and the adult only pool area.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We were able to see Beauty and the Beast live and it was such a great show. I would see it again for sure if I had the opportunity to.
Children's Programs
5 out of 5
The kids club was the best part of the ship! Unlike past cruises, we did not have to bribe our son to go, he woke up wanted to go to at least a couple activities everyday that they had going on. The set up was so cool.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All the staff was so nice and helpful. We enjoyed coming back to our room every night to see what towel animal and treats our room Seward would leave for us. The waitstaff was out of this world! So great with the kids.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This Disney ship seemed to be the cleanest cruise ship we have been on. The layout was perfect. The kids seemed to have one half of the ship and the adults had another to get away from all the kids chaos if needed.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Beds were comfortable and plenty of room.
Ship tip
If you do not have an autograph book get one before or on the ship the first day. There are so many characters. Our son was on a mission to get a pic with as many as he could and 2 characters in we realized we should have gotten a book to make it a little more special.
We stayed at the Holiday Inn by the terminal the night before. Right across the street was the Bayside market, which was full of restaurants and shopping. So that was convenient.
We did the dolphin swim and it was such a cool experience. However, you cannot bring your phone with you and they have their own photographers. You can purchase your photos after the excursion, but heads up not cheap. Each picture was $40 for a 5x7.. a little disappointing as the excursion itself was not cheap and there were quite a few pictures that we wanted but couldn’t justify spending $400 on pictures. Grand Cayman itself was OK. There seems to be a lot of restaurants and shops closed. We overheard someone say the the island took a hit during the last hurricane, so maybe that’s why.
I could have spent the whole vacation there. So much to do and so relaxing. We went on a bike ride as soon as we got off the ship, which was a good way to see the island. Then relaxed in the water and had lunch at the buffet on the island.
