Review summary

This was an outstanding cruise and if this same route (6 nights - Vancouver to San Pedro), I would highly recommend. This cruise is setup especially for wine lovers as they have extra sessions ($39 each) that let you taste several wines from specific vineyards. Also very good accompanying food is provided with the wine. Lots of wine lovers on board, but this cruise is for anyone. The Princess staff are excellent in every way possible.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Entered the cruise terminal a few hours after the embarkment starting and literally walked on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food in the dining room and World Buffet were outstanding with diverse menus and high quality food. The Speciality Restaurants (Italian and Steak) were luike eating at a 5 star restaurant.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
While I brought a book to read, we were so involved with ship activities (sitting in the pool area, special talks, different types of competition, entertainment, etc) that I read very little.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
All of the nightime entrtainment was very good. The Princess dancers/singers are extremely talented and put on a really good show. The music in the piazza area (middle ship decks 5-7) was outstadning with a vareity of musicians and types of music.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was always friendly and helpful. I would rate this area as high as possible - 5+++.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was always clean. It took a little bit to get the layout down and which hallways went from the aft to forward and vice versa, but once we had it down, it was easy to find the venue you wanted to attend.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The Cabin was outstanding in both size, comfort and cleaniness. Our Cabin steward, Mary Claire, was very attentive and always greeted us with a smile and asked how she would make the cruise even better. I would also rated this area a 5+++.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

5 out of 5
This is a wonderful city to visit. So much to see and do. This is an expensive city, compared to most US cities, but the current exchange rate makes Vancouver more affordable for Americans than Canadians.

San Francisco, California

3 out of 5
The first day was not good as we were not able to get off the ship until after 4pm due to immigration issues (not enough immingration officials for the number of people on the ship). Most excursions for Day 2 (Thu) did not start until 10 am or so, so it was limited what could be seen in the SF area.

San Pedro (Los Angeles), California

5 out of 5
Leaving the ship into the exit area wa relatively easy. We ubered from the port to the John Wayne airport.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy and quick.
