The cruise is designed for mass marketing and you get what you pay for. The ship seems very big, with a confusing layout, and very little cultural or informational talks are offered-not even port talks the night before.
Embarkation

They forgot to give us a medallion for the child, had to return and start process again
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
Bland food, not spiced well, the buffet is everyday the same and the food in the dining room does not vary much. Most fish was overcooked.
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Hot tub on the 17th floor was nice and not busy. Not many interesting activities offered on sea days.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Okay. A bit boring.
Children's Programs
1 out of 5
Nothing for children under 3. The treehouse staff was not very welcoming and rather curt.
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
The staff does not seem to enjoy their work, I believe it comes from the top down. All staff seems stressed, there is not enough help in certain areas and training is lacking.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
We have only travelled on small ships and to use an app to navigate the ship is cumbersome. Guests struggled to make it work and the app did not work well to make reservations. The ship was clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Cabin was comfortable and nice. Water should be provided in all cabins and not only for drink packages.
Ship tip
You get what you pay for. I am glad it was a cheap repositioning cruise, otherwise we would have felt very ripped off.
I was on the Crown in January and had a great time. Not sure why you think layout is difficult, since all deck go from forward to aft, but if you have an issue, just go to one of the interactive screens located EVERYWHERE, to find your way around. Appears to me, you did very little research for the best cruise, and somehow it's the cruise lines fault.
Appreciate your detailed feedback. It’s harder to get personalized service with big ships. Sounds like you are happier with more intimate surroundings.
