We also went to Samoa, Tahiti and Moorea. French Polonesian was a special treat for us. On Tahiti we went to the Intercontinental Tahiti Resort and it was really amazing. We had a private tour of Tahiti was absolutely terrific. On Moorea we took an excursion and got a great deal of background on the area and saw a lot of the sites. It was a wonderful cruise and 28 days was just right to see a lot of the area.

Embarcation could not have been easier. Princess picked us up at the airport and we got on the ship rather quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
The Grand Princess had exceptional dining in the buffet and main dining room. We had reserved seating, which was great.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There was lots of activities on board including pickleball, daily trivia, beer pong, sharades, bingo, and deal or no deal. They had a naturalist on board that was terrific. She taught us about the destinations were were going to and some of the history and culture of the region, which was very interesting and helpful. This was a quiet time of year so the pools were not busy and there was ample room in events and around the pool areas.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the variety of entertainment options available to us. There were several comedians that were excellent. There were a a variety of vocalists that had terrific voices.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff were amazing. We got to know a lot of the staff being on the ship for 28 days. Couldn't say enough about the hospitality of the staff. The staff also engaged in actitivies with the passengers. That was really special and enjoyable.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The ship was laid out well and was clean and well maintained.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
We liked the layout of our cabin. There was a large closet that was behind a wall and open to the bathroom, which was great. There was a light that went on when you were in the closet area, which did not shine so brightly that it woke up anyone. The balcony was a good size and amazing to sit on any time of day or night. Our steward kept the cabin clean and comfortable.
We did not take an excursion but caught a cab and went around the area. We were surprised at how chilly it was in LA in November and December, so bring a warmer jacket!
