Review summary

Overall, had a great time and will travel with Princess cruise line again, just do a little more homework on cabin selection.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived earlier than scheduled, but the crowds were low and we literally walked in to the checking in area and then we're directed to the waiting area.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We did not do any specialty dinning on this cruise. Main dinning room (anytime dinning) was fairly easy to just walk in, dinning area was elegant and clean. They offered and ate a wide variety of delicious dishes/deserts.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We really enjoyed their Theater performances and comedians. And we watched several poolside movies! Overall, entertainment was great!

Terrace Pool

5 out of 5

The Aft pool was peaceful and uncrowded while in ports. We took advantage of this to relax and catch up on reading.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
They were all very good, some better than others, but overall, great experience. They had a daily classic music performance by these two ladies, it was amazing!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Waiters, cabin steward, and bartenders were all great, but for some reason, the food delivery in the main dining room was slow. Did not matter how if crowded or not. But the food was very good and the presentation was outstanding.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship layout was very nice, initially was getting lost, but when I got the hang of their app (princess@sea), I was well orientated. They could use more visible restroom signs.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Cabin was always clean, bed was comfortable, bathroom was adequate, but shower was a little small. But, there was noise (tapping) caused by rough seas around the closet shelf/wall. Worst than that, the location of this cabin placed us above and close to an outside deck door that slammed from morning to late at night. Guest/crew going out or in through that lower deck door caused a loud bang noise. Thank God for earplugs!

Ship tip

Do not expect party crowds nor activities found in newer ships. No rock climbing, pool slides, nor ice skating, but a relaxing ship, a mature crowd, and, great live show entertainment and food.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Visited the area many times before.

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
Great port of call, clean, safe, and easy to walk on your own and find some great food. Did not do any organized tours.

Oranjestad, Aruba

4 out of 5
Port was good, easy to just walk off the ship and enjoy the area. Been here before, so we just enjoyed the weather and the local shopping.

Bonaire, Netherlands Special Municipality

4 out of 5
Stayed on the ship and relaxed by the pool.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation was well organized and smooth! Best ever!
