we loved Sri Lanka and the Maldives. This itinerary allowed us to see a lot of Southern India which other cruiselines do not cover.

Small ship experience

On the positive side, we enjoyed in particular the folks in Greece. we found them to be kind, gentle and full of life. To speak with 3 generations of shop keepers who proudly respect their ancestors who made a living in the small but well kept market was good for the soul. We hired taxis to carry us into the mountain villages and we welcomed with a variety of tasty and fresh foods. Sarah's GPS recorded 6 - 7 miles exploring the off season ports and surrounding points of interest. We made provisions to tuck our cash and ID's out of reach and avoided "Night Life" and areas of concern, zero safety problems.

As a frequent cruiser, Costa was a poor choice, it became apparent they were cutting amenities and adding charges across the board. Best to pick another line. Charges for coffee, tea, water, insufficient buses for promised free shuttle service. Noisy intercom commercials, in summary, the crew did their best, under poor administrative policies.

Overall Costa Cruise left a bad taste in mouth due to unpleasant encounters from Italian passengers and crew. Everything else is fine.

Some experiences cannot be expressed in words , you can just feel them. They are above the words of expression.

Great Experience. We were a group of 5 couples. We sailed from Mumbai to Maldives. It was a great experience. The cruise rooms were spacious. Food was great too. Daily activities were very interesting. The staff was very helpful, polite. Overall a 5 star rating. 

The best things were the large cabins,every place was clean and fine details .Staff very friendly and food very good and healthy.

Drinks very good too.No engine sounds at all .very smooth moving even in a bit rough sea.

The Neoclassica has been renewed, but that doesn't make it a brand new modern ship.

Food was good  but no exceptional carving decorations on the buffet.

The flower arrangements were artificial. No fresh flower arrangement anywhere.

Excursions were expensive.

The Charlie Duo musicians were up to the standard. Very good repertoire. Even ready to play and sing a new request.

Loss Paragueyoss musicians were playing  a kick back vacation music creating  a very nice mood.ready to perform new requests from the guests. 

The best part was the musicians and the latin dance group entertainers

Six months after booking with Costa they cancelled the cruise and didn't tell us. We did get our money back eventually but not with any apology, suggestion of help to find an alternative. I'd be very wary of Costa from here on.
