We recently sailed on the Fortuna and had a wonderful time. The entertainment staff was great. They made the cruise fun and exciting.

The cruise was very relaxing with more than enough activies to stimulate new experiences. The food quality was very good. I asked our server to choose my meals, and he was perfect with every course. We were generally the last to leave the dinner table. The whole time aboard was very comfortable. The only concern I experienced was the expense of using the internet. There must be a good reason, but it escapes me. Regardless, I highly recommend this cruise.

Good itinerary, Nice Casino, Good Entertainment, Very Nice Staff, Very Clean Ship, Smooth Embarkation & Disembarkation. However, The ship rocked too much, a lot more than any of my previous 4 Cruises, this was the first time my wife got sick in the 6 cruises she has taken. The doctor on board was very busy with a lot of sick patients due to the rough movement of the ship. The food was Ok. Variety of food selection was poor compare to my other 4 cruises. Too much repetition in the Menu.

Ship was great in decor and cleanliness, overall really satisfied w/ship.

Very good the cabin very big, the services very good and very clean ship very good entertanment , the food good but to much sweet on the nigth buffet. not enoght seafod(lobster)

The ship is one of the most beautiful with their deocr and details. We enjoyed the Italian flare of the staff & ship. Felt like you were in a foreign country due to the amount of European travelers.

well the reviews i read were all farse this is my 30 cruise and costa was great people talk the food is bad the food is great but the dining staff could and needs improvement

As a previous Costa use. and also many other cruise lines. I wanted to impress my wife with Costa and also find out if their being purchased by another line made a differance in Costas service. Well it sure did and for the worst. The food in formal dining was poor in quality and prep. as was the dining service poor. The first nite service was outrageses when first nite should present a high impression of what to expect. When food and service was compared to previous Costa cruises I give it a rating of 0 on a 1 to 10 scale. Actualy the buffet food was much better. As example on other Costa cruises we had a wine stewrd , none here, and pasta between each serving, none here. There was never enought butter on table foe six there was 3 peices every nite There was no exprosso as with other cruises. Attention to table was so poor I had to get up several times to look for someone to get what the table needed. Only one salt and pepper for a table of six..I could go on and on but what the use . Worst of all upon boarding we were told that the lowest cost wine package was unavable and certainly this was the better choise of wines . I believe a attempt to push the higher price package. Oh and the orange juice was watered down to the point it was not drinkable.. Card room andd craft classes the staff just dumped stuff on table and left. The only misic played anywhere was the island style so no dancing for old timers like me who want rock and roll. The only good things ablut the cruise were the ship (altough old is well layed out) and the theater and the shows which were the best I have experanced. Well its appeartant that they are trying to cut donw expances buying poor quality food and cutting service personal. By the way I had the best room steward ever. All in all I will never use Costa again. I planned to use Costa for a Med . cruise this year. So now I will not

We were very happy with our experience on the Costa,the food was great ,service impeccable! i would recommend it to all my friends!!!

Ship was very clean and excellent food. Needs replacement - cruise director/staff ,shows/ outside onboard activities. Costa needs to change their intinery, music and shows. Everything was very repetative and same as before. They will not attract future cruise passengers, unless they get more involved with what cruise members expect while on vacation on a cruise ship.

We just returned from a 7 day cruise on the Costa Fortuna - our first trip with Costa although we have cruised three other times with different cruise lines. The ship is beautiful and well maintained. The menus in the restaurants were carefully thought out and creative however, the food did not live up to expectations. If you had chicken two nights in a row you were apt to find the same sauce both nights - and it was bland... quite disappointing. The shore excusions sounded good but several of them were very disorganized and some of the excusion staff was curt bordering on arrogant.

It's a huge ship compared to our other ship cruises.

Used to cruise a lot but with different cruise line and decided to try Costa.... I did have a previous experience with Costa when they inaugurated the Classica and it was beautiful... I was expecting an italian style in taste and food, but I guess since Carnival ownes it, they did "carnevalized" it too much.... Wouldnt sugget it to a friend.... sorry!!!

Overall we were disappointed in our costa cruise experience. I would only recommend the cruise line to Italian speaking families traveling together.

I would rate the ship ( overall ) very good. The staff was very friendly and we had only good comments about the room service and waiters. The activities personnel were very entertaining. The only cons: The trip to San Juan, Pto Rico is too long at sea and the sea was choppy. Also, the jewelry store held a drawing during our meeting with the activity director. In order to claim the prize ( a nice watch ), you had to be present. My wife's name came out and she could not claim her prize since we were all at the meeting.

Overall our experience was good one. The ship was beautifully decorated and was fun to spend time in. Our cabin was well designed and tasteful. Our cabin steward and other service professional provided excellent service. I wish the pools were bigger as they were more for decoration than playing in. Activities on board could have been more diverse and shows were so-so. The food was very european and we were craving traditional American dishes by the end of the trip. But it was a good experience as you are emersed in European culture and languages. A learning experience! Ports of call were nice and embarkment/disembarkment proceedures went smoothly. Price was great and well worth the money!

It was our first cruise and we are very happy that we finally found the time and money to go on cruise. And we are regret that we did not cruise before that was best vacation we ever had. Everything was excellent-food, service, ship, ports, weather. Would recommend to everyone who never cruised before and cruised before.

We sail on Feb. 1-9, 2009 with Costa Fortuna. The ship is great, food, service, entertainment, etc, we liked everything. This is our first time on the cruise and we were so afraid that we would be dissapointed and wouldnt like the cruise, but our experience and expectations toped all our other vacations. We loved it and we are going to the next cruise next month and so exited to have fun again.
