An exciting and packed cruise

Sail Date: August 17, 2008

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Boarding was a pleasure compared to the Costa Ancient Treasures trip to Istanbul.
The cabins at the back were great (180 degree view) BUT we were too close to the Londra Lounge which made loud noise till 1-2am each morning.
The ship is beautuiful, with everything you need, The gym was a bit dissapointing compared to the one on the Costa Meditteranea or Atlantica
The food was fantastic and the service excellent - we found the staff all round superb
The tour gourp organisation was good except that with few english speaking guests we were limited

Pros: The well organised logistics and a great ship!

Cons: Too many Italians and not enough english speaking tourists

Recommends Costa Concordia (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Cabin / Stateroom
A bit small but this is cruise after all - the balcony at the back was fantastic and we could open our interleading door and have an extra large balcony to share with our travel companions
Service and Staff
Entertainment
Maybe just too much Italian
Palermo, Sicily
Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands
Should have stayed on the ship - not great
Barcelona, Spain
The only issue was too little time in Port Great city and clean!!! Definitely a visit again option
Don't Miss: The open bus tour gave us a great overview
Tunis, Tunisia
A tour is a must
Don't Miss: The souks
Savona (Genoa), Italy
Nothing much to write home about but fun none the less
Valletta, Malta
The St John Church and use the local bus - its an experience
Don't Miss: St John Church as well
