Review summary
For our 4th cruise on the Costa Line, we were looking forward to it, remembering the pleasures of the other cruises. The ship is smaller than others of the Costa Line (but not the smallest), which means the facilities (gym and pools in particular) are not as good as on some of their other ships. But the personnel tried to make up for it! They were all wonderful--aiming to please. For example, when we didn't like anything on the (large) menu, they were willing to make something special for us. The entertainment people were excellent--some of the best shows we've seen. There were plenty of bars (with and without entertainment), comfortable places to sit, interesting shops. We enjoyed having lots of outside decks to sit and read, sun, play cards. What we liked least was the fact that there were few English-speaking people aboard (less than 10%), which meant that a lot of the advertized tours were cancelled, because not enough English-speaking people signed up for them. All personnel on board spoke 5 languages!!! I was amazed at how clean they kept the ship: we always saw people dusting, polishing, washing, cleaning!Ports of call
