Our plans were for 5 nights disconnected with great food and entertainment - mission accomplished.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Pre trip instructions, documentation and testing were a snap. We submitted our own pictures and simply showed up with our documentation ready. Fastest boarding ever. Once we stepped on board, masks became optional for guests.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Everything was fully operational. We chose any time dining and never needed a reservation for a window seat. We purchased the 3 specialty restaurant package and enjoyed Petit Chef (twice) and the Tuscan dining.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the pools, outdoor movies - especially the Solarium with the salt pools for soaking. The onboard team also had great trivia and theme nights.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
LIVE MUSICIANS! We loved the live music in the theater and around the ship. The Celebrity dance and singing performers were top notch and delivered great shows. The special entertainers were also awesome.
Children's Programs
No kids on this trip with us.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
For our sailing the crew numbered 700 and the guests were 271. We were treated as if we owned the ship. The crew was happy to be sailing and we were treated as honored guests.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
This was our third trip on a Millennium Class with Celebrity and the ship was in the best shape ever - everything was working and cleaned meticulously. We observed crew dedicated to sanitizing common areas every day.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Room was similar in size to the veranda cabins we have had on previous sailings. The big difference in this room is the veranda size. There are 2 lounge chairs similar to the poolside lounge chairs plus a table and two sitting chairs which are the typical configuration for veranda rooms in our experience on this class of ship. This room is directly beneath the bar on deck 10 but is shaded for some privacy by an awning from those looking down. If you are close to the rail of the veranda, you are partially visible to those above. When crews clean or reset the furniture in the bar, you will hear the tables moving through the ceiling.
Ship tip
Take notes on the crew names who provide excellent services - we laughed that we began to forget names from the first portion of our trip and unfortunately couldn't share those back to Celebrity in our post cruse survey - the list will be long of those deserving compliments as this crew is ready to be sailing and making vacations happen for their guests.
Fastest and smoothest of all the cruises I have taken. Advantage of Concierge Class is the waiting in the Tuscan Dining Room with coffee and pastries outside of a larger grouping in another part of the ship.
Thanks for the tips. I've started using my phone to take pictures of the crew's badges. Helps me spell the names correctly and usually says what area they're working. I always ask permission and some don't mind having their faces included 😊
