Review summary

We cruised on the Celebrity 15 yrs ago for our 25th Anniversary and always wanted to get back on one of their ships because with really loved it.  So, now it was our 40th and finally said this is the yr. Although we felt is wasn't as good as we remembered it was better than other cruise lines.                                              We are not big drinkers but did like the Classic Beverage package.  The following were a plus:  Tuscan Restaurant (went twice), Martini Bar, all the entertainment areas with plenty of seating, food in the main dining room (went for most meals), the fact you didn't really have to get dressed up on Chic nights (even though we did), many activities to keep you busy all day and night, Capt. Kate and all the crew were exceptional.                                            The following were negatives although not necessarily a reason we wouldn't return:  the ship needs more signage as far as which way was the front of the ship and back since you can't always see outside to see which direction you were going. They aren't very good getting you to sit at anytime dining. They would only be able to take reservations for 8pm or after.  If you wanted to eat early they suggested to "show up" around 5pm.  I have to say that if you did you pretty much were seated right away even before the people standing on a very long line that had reservations already.  But, if you wanted to eat like say at 6 or 6:30 I think you'd be out of luck.  Next time we'd just take the early seating and we'd be happy being seated every night w/o a problem. They need to work on this desperately as we were among others who felt the same way. The only problem we had was when disembarking.  We decided to "walk off" instead of waiting to be called later and then to have to search for out luggage.  This is the first time we've done that and would do it from now on.  Problem is with the Summit they told us to wait in the Rendevous room and there was a mass of people waiting there also. We thought they were all walk offs but they weren't. So, they made a really bad announcement about the walk offs that didn't really say it was happening immediately and since nobody else was moving out of our room really we didn't know we could have left.  If we didn't walk around to see what was happening we wouldn't have known we could have left who knows how long before.  There was a lot of people already off in the terminal and had to wait behind for customs.  It didn't take that long though once on the line.  Once out of the terminal it was a breeze getting our car and leaving. One last thing I need to mention is the food in the Oceanview wasn't too great and the options very limited.

We did enjoy ourselves all in all since this was our first cruise alone.

Our cabin had plenty of storage space and was kept clean. We had an excellent cabin stewart named Made (pronounced Ma Dee.

Ship tip

If going to Kings Wharf Bermuda and have a problem walking you might want to make sure you know when the trolley comes back and where you get it. It was a nightmare waiting where we were told by another passenger which was outside the Pharmacy (in the heat) only to never see one going by.
