Review summary

I found myself on isolation the entire time we were in port with what I believe to have been food poisoning. As this issue was not due to something I did to myself, I feel it would have been appropriate for Celebrity to refund a prorated amount of the cost of the cruise and drink package. The only compensation I did receive (only after asking) was a credit on a drink package for a future cruise. To be honest with you, this is very little incentive to take that cruise and even less to convince me that Celebrity would be the right line if I did.

My cabin steward Thelma was outstanding!! She was very friendly and professional and extremely attentive. I was on isolation for three days and Thelma ensured I always had what I needed.

Yes. Wash your hands and use the sanitizer. I like the Lysol tip. Gonna steal that one.

I was on a cruise at the same time. Had no problems and didn't hear of any. Sorry you got sick. It can happen to anyone.😕 They have plenty hand sanitizers and ship was clean. However I still saw guest using bathrooms and not washing their hands sick😲 . I always sanitize my cabin before touching anything and use Lysol spray for carpet. Then we unpack. As to Celebrity they are the better than most.

I got food poisoning when I was in St. Thomas. The cruiseline didn't cause it. It's not their fault. They have to isolate you if you go to the medical facilities just in case it is norovirus. I always pack meds in case it ever happens again.

Anyone else get food poisoning? I believe you are lucky they offered anything. Most cruises will just say too bad for you. Sorry you got sick. Better travels next time!
