Review summary
First of all, we have cruised 8 times so we are not inexperienced cruisers. The ship is newly renovated and is beautiful. The production shows and and the comedian Fred were the best we've ever seen on all the cruises we've been on. The dining room food was pretty good but no real "wow" factor. Overall the food temp for the food at all meals were either warm salads, or warm/cool food. Never really just right. The buffet was a real disappointment enough to ruin the entire experience. For eating 2/3 of our meals at the buffet, they had the same food every day. No creativity and the same for every breakfast and the same for every lunch. You can do better at your local buffet at home. Too much waiting to be served instead of self service. Long waits for grill food or omelet station. Don't expect any other fruit other than watermelon, cantaloupe, pineapple or honeydew. Even the big party Fruit Buffet had the same fruit. No tropical fruits in sight. The ship was beautiful, the shows were fun, the ports were excellent but the dining experience leaves a bad taste in your mouth all week. We didn't go to any of the specialty restaurants for fear of having to pay for mediocre food. Best advice? Since one of the major reasons one books a cruise is the dining experience - Princess cruises has the best dining experience we've had - I'd stick with Princess.Ship experiences

Pros: Port stops, Production shows and comedian and beautiful ship.
Cons: Terrible buffet! Same everyday with poor food temperature control. Poor layout of buffet, had to walk to several stations to get your food.
