Review summary

I enjoyed the sea days because there was so much to do. I went to the talks by historian, Mary Amanda, and her husband, naturalist, Brent Nixon. There were salsa, ballroom, and line dance classes. There was a tour of the galley, classes on food preparation - I saw the steak and fish classes. There were many food choices...healthy in the spa cafe, so many choices in the ocean view cafe, and the main dining room had a chef's recommendation each night that was mostly Alaskan fish and desserts with Alaskan products. We treated ourselves to gelato on deck 5 the last day (2 scoops for $5, 4 scoops for $7 and worth every penny). We have cruised Norwegian and Carnival before and Celebrity is just a step up...like a string duo and Evergreen (guitar/vocalist Joni Mitchell style). There were so many music choices all day. The silent disco is more fun with headphones, even if you are just watching. The production shows were fun; some comedians were good, some so-so; Tribute to Buble was great. The sauna and hot tubs were very relaxing. The gym was busy early in the morning and the walking track was chilly but people were using it.
