Review summary

This was my first cruise so keep that in mind when reading this review. I have nothing else to compare it to. Embarkation from Vancouver was all over the place, 3 ships leaving at same time, so bit of a mess overall. I was really excited about the cruise having heard so many wonderful things. But by the end I couldn't wait to get off. Cabin was small, could hear people next door. Last night had very little sleep as everyone was packing and banging around. The first day got sick of staff pestering you trying to sell drink packages, specialty dining etc. The whole cruise felt like a money grab. Food in main dining was average. Buffet food was pretty good, but gets busy at lunch time. Disembarkation at ports were good but I just felt like a sheep being herded around. Perhaps I've learnt that cruising just isn't for me.

Leaving suitcases out was optional. We took ours out ourselves, many others did also. I mean, the service was fine, but yeah I guess cruising just isn't for me.

Oh, and suitcases have to be out in the hall by a certain time so they couldn’t have been banging around all night.

That definitely does not sound like Celebrity. They are one of the best, especially in food and friendliness of staff. Even if your expectations were high they would have met it. Maybe cruising isn’t for you.
