Review summary

A really great itinerary that combines the perfect number of sea days and destination ports. The captain was excellent and the cruise director energetic. The passengers were mostly European and not too many kids.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and very efficient. From dropping our luggage to reaching our stateroom MIGHT have been 15 minutes in total!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Food was to the standard we expect from Celebrity. We ate each evening in the MDR. It was just a tad on the salty side. Every meal was delicious! The buffet was mediocre and we didn’t eat here too often. Just the chaos and watching folks without buffet ‘etiquette’ is enough to make this a less desirable option for us.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We loved the ‘Beyond the Podium’ lectures. We also were on this cruise to completely relax so we sat and read on the deck more often than took part in activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Absolutely excellent shows! The three highlights were ‘Adele’s Belles’, ‘The Trawlermen’ and a violinist whose name I can’t recall. Top notch!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
We chose Celebrity for the service and they did not disappoint in any way. We felt very valued and spoiled!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Squeaky clean! Lovely layout and design. Easy to navigate.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Spacious interior room.

Ship tip

If there is an issue let someone know. They will bend over backwards to fix it for you!

Ports of call

Cork, Ireland

5 out of 5
Skip the train into Cork and stay in the port of Cobh. It’s very authentic, walkable and has tons of interest. Photo ops galore!!!

Reykjavik, Iceland

5 out of 5
If you like to walk, skip the shuttle to the city and try the sea wall walk. It’s 4 km each way. The fresh air and views are wonderful. Again, a very walkable port…plenty to see.

Waterford, Ireland

5 out of 5
We did not take the bus to Waterford but stayed in Dunmore East. We did the sea cliff walk and didn’t regret it for a moment. The sun was shining and we enjoyed it so much. A late lunch at ‘The Strand’ was very enjoyable. Try the fresh seafood chowder! This is a tender port.

Akureyri, Iceland

5 out of 5
Be sure to visit Forest Lagoon if you can. Also the Botanical Gardens are stunning! Very walkable town.

Isafjordur, Iceland

5 out of 5
Absolutely stunning landscapes. It’s breathtaking! Bring a windproof coat….it can be blustery.

Rotterdam, Netherlands

5 out of 5
Modern city. Very walkable! We loved exploring it on foot.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Well done. Smooth. We always take our own luggage off the ship. No issues whatsoever.
