We enjoyed this cruise overall. We enjoyed the food and especially the entertainments on the ship.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Embarkation was fast and easy. Silhouette was the only ship at port that day. So, getting in was easy without much traffic.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
We found the food in the main dining room was very good. We had breakfast and dinner in the main dining room. Lunch on sea days in the dining room as well. We had dinner at Le Petit Chef and Tuscan specialty restaurant. Both were good. Le Petit Chef was cute.
Buffet was decent.
We were surprised to see that a lot of napkins in the cafeteria were frayed. Some even had holes!! Not a good impression it gave.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
Pools were always full of people. That was expected. A lot of activities through out the ship everyday.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Entertainments are top notch on this ship. Music, DJ, live music, and shows every night were different, and were held concurrently in different venues. The cruise director, Eddy Jenkins, was the best one we came across so far.
Even the captain of the ship, Captain Kirk, gave a hour long rock concert with the ship’s band at the main theater. Never seen that before. He played the guitar, the drums and sang. Amazing.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Staff on the ship were very friendly. Service was excellent in the dining room, and elsewhere on the ship. Our stateroom attendant was wonderful.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship shows her age for sure. The ship overall was clean. She was certainly well maintained. They were painting some part the ship. We got paint chips all over our balcony one day coming from above. Our stateroom attendant took care of it. They also painted our balcony another day.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
We had a concierge cabin, I didn’t think it was any bigger than other balcony cabin. There were not much space for storage in the room. There are only 3 small drawers in the room. No shelves are inside the closet. I counted about 8 hangers in the closet with broken clips. They should have been replaced.
No power outlet of any kind, AC or USB on bed side. We brought battery packs.
The balcony is deep enough for the lounge chair to face out with the footstool.
Ship tip
Bring battery packs if you want to charge your phone by your bedside.
We had an early flight, so we did the self walk off with our luggage. We were on deck 10. It took us more than 15 minutes to get an elevator. That was expected in disembarkation morning. After that it was very fast getting through immigration.
We were surprised to see the cruise director and the activity manager saying goodbye to everyone at the terminal.
