Review summary

Our fifth cruise on Celebrity...STILL the BEST!!!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Even though there were many, many people already waiting to get onboard when we arrived, the lines moved quickly and the staff was warm and welcoming. Total time from entering the departure hall to stepping onboard didn’t exceed 20 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Every dining venue we went to was excellent! We visited the main dining room four separate times, were seated quickly, and enjoyed a delicious dinner. Lots of variety at the buffet; something for everyone! We also ate at the Lawn Club Grill, Tuscan Grill, and Qsine while onboard and enjoyed not only wonderfully hospitable service, but delicious food as well.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We didn’t go to all the main stage shows, but the ones we did see were spectacular. Of particular note was Cosmopolitan which was an eclectic blend of several performers, music, and aerial acts. Definitely check it out! We also enjoyed listening to the violin/cello duo each night in Ensemble.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
As always on Celebrity, the staff and service were outstanding. In particular, Kadek, Kamarada, Joseph, and I Gede in the martini bar are entertaining to watch, fun to chat with, and can make a mean martini! Over in Ensemble, Jai and Alex are always quick to welcome you and make you feel at home with their hospitality. Lastly, Samantha at Passport was kind and efficient even with a full bar. Loved her! Our room steward was thorough and adapted quickly to our arrival/departure times from our stateroom (we’re creatures of habit!) The cruise director, Sue, was humorous, informative, and seemed to really enjoy her work.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Again, as always with a Celebrity cruise, the ship was clean inside and out. Even though the ship is due for dry dock within the next few weeks, everything was in tip-top shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was clean and well-stocked on arrival. Our room steward saw to it that we never ran out of anything and was thorough in keeping our room clean and tidy throughout the cruise.

Ports of call

Kralendijk, Bonaire

5 out of 5
Again in Bonaire we didn’t book a shore excursion. Instead, we opted to explore on our own. We found a bar/restaurant on a pier not far from the ship and enjoyed a relaxing meal there. Afterward, we walked through the village area, did a little shopping and headed back. In retrospect, I wish we had booked a shore excursion; the island looks beautiful!!

Willemstad, Curacao

5 out of 5
BEAUTIFUL and quaint, Curaçao was our favorite port of call. We didn’t do a shore excursion, just explored on our own. We had lunch at a waterfront restaurant with amazing views and kind service. The food was outstanding!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Debarkation was quick and easy. We had to take a bus back to Miami due to a port scheduling error (hey, humans make mistakes!) but the bus was readily available for boarding after luggage collection and we were in Miami shortly after 9 AM...not so bad since disembarkation didn’t start til after 7.
