We had a fabulous time. Ports were everything we hoped for. Ship was nice, food in main dining room was good, service was ok, specialty resturants not worth the money. Entertainment excellent, Sue and her team excellent. Ship itself and facilities not quite as nice as other ships we have been on.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Fourth cruise, first with celebrity. Disappointed that so few restaurants are included in the price and specialty restaurants are "ONLY" $45 per person more. Italian restaurant ...think Tuscan was very good, The upper deck restaurant - The lawn or grill - was terrible. Pizza app was totally greasy, Steak not done properly, scallop and shrimp skewers tiny. Service very good but food in main dining room was much better. Last cruise we went on many more options in dining were included in price of cruise and specialty restaurants were much more reasonabley priced.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Pool, trivia pursuit, bingo, golf, casino, nightly shows. Casino was worse we have ever experienced. Guess Celebrity looked at our account and saw we did not book excursions through the ship, or make a lot of purchased onboard, etc. Most money we have ever lost. Payback terrible. Old archaic machines. No fun in the casino. Never saw anyone winning . Obviously our fault for gambling but put a damper on the trip
Entertainment

WEnt to almost all shows and thought they were fabulous. Ships performers were excellent!
Service and Staff
3 out of 5
Service in main dining room was not great. We were anytime seating and felt like third class citizens. Were seated 3 times in a row way back in corner with no view of dining room. We had long waits to be seated every time. Thought anytime seating was suppose to be a perk. Were not asked until day 8 if we would be alright with joining another party at a larger table. Did not know we could do that and really enjoyed meeting and dining with other guests. Someone should have told us this from the beginning. Also hostess seemed very snotty. Waiters seemed in the weeds even when not that busy... at lunchtime. Did have a few on waitstaff that went out of their way. Sorry I don't remember names but overall not as good of an experience as on our other crusies.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
My immediate impression upon boarding was the ship is in need of a complete refurb. It looks dated and used. Last cruises was immediately impressed, ships had a wow factor. Other cruises were carnival Royal Carribean and I thought Celebrity was a step up. Not the case. That said the ship was meticoulousy clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Largest and most well organized cabin we have had although again dated, bland décor. Great space for putting things away. Don't see anywhere else to put this but disappointed there were no laundry facilities for self service. Laundry was ridicously expensive. Felt that Celebrity puts the financial screws to you every chance you get.
Ship tip
I would let them know that everything has an extra charge. Would warn them not to book their excursions through Celebrity as they are twice as much as booking yourself. Also check out the age of ship and when it was last refurbed.
Quite frankly not sure we would go on another Celebrity cruise.
Rented a cab for half day.. My mistake that I did not book and excursion. Went to Acropolis and Parthenon. A wow moment and went to Olympic stadium. Very cool. Cut day off ship short because of demonstration and strike.
Booked 3 ten hour days in Israel. Saw a bunch. Again did not book through Celebrity because it was twice the cost of doing it ourselves. Had phenomenal tour guides.
Celebrity is definitely a different cruise style. I always book with an OBC offer and use that for specialty restaurants. Laundry? I'm on vacation. I pack enough to last. It's possible to pack for a 10 day cruise without doing laundry. I know because we've done it.
