Review summary

The Celebrity Reflection is a magnificent ship with an exceptional crew. I had a wonderful time onboard, especially with the dining experiences. Some of the excursions seemed to be poorly planned or just not ready for the cruise season in Nassau. I wish I had spent my time differently in Nassau, but Bimini helped to make up for it. Overall, I had a wonderful time, and will likely try another cruise, especially with Celebrity.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffet was average, but the food quality and dining experience in the main dining room and especially the specialty restaurants was exquisite. I was blown away by the atmosphere and quality of the food.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were constantly crowded, so I didn't get a good opportunity to try to enjoy those. The "Game On" game room had a very disappointingly small library of games to choose from. Similarly, the on-board library was practically barren. Few titles to choose from, and from that, maybe 30% of the books are in English.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows I attended were well-rehearsed and exceptionally played.

Children's Programs

No kids accompanied me on my trip

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Staff everywhere was friendly and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship's layout was intuitive and easy to navigate. Common areas were regularly maintained and always clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Size was perfect. I love RV camping, and this cabin was extremely comparable to that kind of accommodation. The cabin was maintained several times a day, so fresh towels were always available.

Ship tip

Higher balconies are more protected from rainfall.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
No excursions. Embarkation and disembarkation facilities are air-conditioned and well maintained.

Nassau, Bahamas

Did the Pearl Island excursion, and was very disappointed. The chairs and structures are in serious disrepair. Excursion was very restricted for where one could go (even within the island itself), and despite the extra cost to visit the island, nearly everything on pearl island carried an extra cost and was cash only. If you weren't properly prepared to visit, there was very little to do on the island itself. I do not recommend this excursion to anyone.

Bimini, Bahamas

4 out of 5
This was a fun island to visit. The snorkeling excursion to the shipwreck was outstanding, and the staff did very well in keeping everyone safe and making the experience enjoyable. Additionally, I rented a golf cart to explore the island itself. I was disappointed that the nature preserve was not available to visit, but still got to explore a majority of the developed island.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
There was some confusion about timing and waiting instructions, but it was otherwise very fluid and easy.
