We really liked this cruise. I think it was because of the interaction of the staff, from the Capt on down. We have been on much larger ships but this one was perfect. My only negative comment is that I wish Royal Carib and Celebrity shared one reward program. They are one, so why not?

All Great - the main dining room was sometimes slow - but we were OK with that. Buffet was good

We took advantage of the pool, hot tub and fitness center. Our friends took the morning stretch classes and said they were good.

RAGE was excellent, the female singer was also terrific and the comedian was so funny. The production nights were well done and wonderful. Our Capt actually put on a performance one night with the band and it was outstanding.

The waiters were exceptional and everyone on the ship was so helpful. Our cruise director made the trip. Angela was the best cruise director I have ever encountered. She loves her job and it showed. So approachable - there was a real sense of family with this crew - never felt that before on any other cruise - Also the Capt held a lecture on navigation. it was very informative and he is so personable. That sure made a difference - this was the first time I ever felt like I actually got to know the Capt and Cruise Director

Ship tip
Explore the entire ship early and get familiar with it. Nice touch to have morning coffee on deck 7. really enjoyed it
Getting off the ship was very orderly and efficient but there was a big back up and a lot of confusion in the terminal. I think there were only 2 customs desks open which created a very long line which backed up into the same area that you claim your bags. Hard to tell where one process began and the other ended. People cutting in everywhere - once in the queue for customs it was better but slow.
Nice review. Celebrity and Royal do have reciprocity between loyalty programs up to Elite/Diamond. If you're Elite on X you will receive Diamond benefits on Royal. They will not combine programs because the point accumulation system is very different. On Royal, you receive 1 pt per night for a non-suite cabin, and 2 pts for a suite or single. Celebrity has an accumulation of 3 to 21 pts / night depending upon the level of cabin. You collect total points much faster on X than RCL. So doesn't make sense from their business perspective.
