Review summary

This overall is a good cruise, if you care more about the onboard experience. I have been on 3 cruises and these ports were not great to visit at all. I just want to tell Celebrity: When you are considered the "top-notch" cruise line, do not charge your guests for everything like specialty coffee and martinis and definitely don't charge for room service! Although this was not a lot of money charged to me, it ruined my all-inclusive cruise experience. I would have rather paid more for the cruise.

Getting on the ship was a breeze.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Dining was great, especially all the specialty restaurants. Some of the best food I ever had! However, only 2 stars because the basic drink package did not include some basic drinks, like specialty coffee drinks or the martinis. Nickel and dimed for anything over $11. What I REALLY did not like is that there was a $9.99 ($11.20 with tax) service charge for room service! I went on a cruise with Princess 5 months ago and all drinks were included in the drink package and we could order room service, at no charge, whenever we wanted.

Onboard Activities

Pools - Great that they had an indoor pool as well for a day that was raining. However, it was VERY hard to find lounge chairs near the pool as by 9 am all were taken already.

Entertainment

The shows were amazing - highly recommend all of them.

Service and Staff

All were wonderful

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is nice. However, the layout was a little Closter phobic with the center atrium not very big or wide open. Need more elevators too, as you had to walk quite a ways to them and they were always full.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was great and bathroom a decent size.

Ship tip

It is a nice ship and has plenty to do onboard. Food is great, but if you like room service, plan on paying $$$

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Nassau, Bahamas

We took a catamaran excursion snorkeling. It was horrible. The people onboard did not interact with the guests and were quite rude at times. Not a fun experience. Did not see anything else of Nassau.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Awesome jewelry shopping. My friends said Megan's beach was a let down.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Very poor country which can be seen throughout island (we saw a crime scene with a dead body). I was told that Mullet Bay beach was the best to go to on the Dutch side (it was ok). Went to another beach on the French side (not sure which) and it was great with great food at the restaurant and good "vibe".
