Review summary

I can’t speak for all of Celebrities ships or cruises, but this was primarily adults and a very mature vibe which suited us. It was really fun but not an amusement park or rager party.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation is fast. We were told concierge/ Aqua class had a separate lunch to avoid the buffet but we received no instructions on that. The buffet is excellent but on day 1 it’s very hectic.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Main Dining is very good but serving so many isn’t easy on the hard working (possibly understaffed) servers. Anytime dining, they give you a buzzer so you don’t have to stand in a line and can find something in the area while waiting. Blue was excellent and if you want a MDR menu they will bring it. Buffet is clean and amazing variety. It is however busy at times but better than any other cruise we have been on. Hand dipped ice cream, yogurt, and sugar free is very good. Cookies and M&Ms are too good to pass up! And yes for the traditionalists there is soft serve if you look for it.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Great variety - remarkable talent

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All staff and guest relations were helpful and hard working. Concierge was not really worth any special mention for us.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Aqua class/middle ship was close to everything and quiet. Balcony had 2 nice chairs & foot rests and table. Bed was very comfortable. Don’t forget storage above the bed as there is a good size closet and suitcases underneath bed so the room isn’t cramped at all. Cleanliness is well taken care of!

Ports of call

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
We did the Coral Beach excursion from Celebrity. This is a “tender” port and that’s a process that takes a lil time. The bus to the beach was completely full but friendly drivers. Beach is damaged from storms and at this time not really walkable. Everything else was very nice. Lunch was really good!!

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Walk to end of the pier and there is a shopping area that is clean and all kinds of souvenirs, restaurants, etc. We did the beach island excursion from Celebrity and it was not as advertised- WAY BETTER! They had all-inclusive food & drink and the beach is great. 40 minutes each way to the island but the boat ride was fun. Our guide and everyone involved were very friendly.

Ocho Rios, Jamaica

There are 2 piers. One allows walking in, other requires a cab. We had the older, cab access pier. We went to Shore Excursion desk to ask about safety and were told that we might be asked about buying drugs but otherwise ok going into port. We stayed on the ship as did many.

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Allow for traffic outside. Inside they will move you along as fast and efficiently as possible.

Nassau, Bahamas

3 out of 5
There was construction which had heavy equipment in the streets with many many people walking. We didn’t do an excursion here but on previous trips did the Atlantis Beach which does not interest us.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Disembarkation is fast. We used the excursions airport transfer which cost comparable to Uber from the airport to the ship. You boarded a charter bus and can make flights in late morning to FLL.
