There were 843 passengers on a 3600-passenger ship. It was about the best one could hope for!
Embarkation
5 out of 5
There were only a few people in the terminal as we boarded!! It was wonderful!
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Food was very good, as usual. The buffet was not crowded at all (so why was the guy behind me SO close??) Late seating was not available so we had to do anytime dining. While we were not at a table with others, it was just as though we were, as tables were not spaced.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
There were many activities on the ship. We enjoy trivia with the staff.
Celebrity iLounge
2 out of 5
Extremely disappointed in the information received from crew member (I believe his name was Chester). I could not get a straight answer as to what was actually included in the "Surf" Internet package: he said social media was not included; then he said Facebook was included but no videos (and yet my videos played); Snapchat would not connect. He kept addressing my husband when I asked a question. That was tremendously annoying. It is disappointing that a couple of years ago I was able to access ALL social media AND stream from Netflix, and now I have to get an upgraded package to do the same thing.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
While the talent was VERY good for this cruise, I was a little disappointed that there was only one show from the performance crew. There were no specialty acts like comedy or jugglers, etc, in the theater, just music. We did appreciate the cruise director, Steve, giving a talk about his travels, and showing slides. There was also a talk by Domenick Allen, followed by a Q & A
Children's Programs
We were not sailing with children. We did not see a single child on this cruise.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
There were more crew members onboard than passengers, so the crew was always available and happy to help. We were able to get immediate and wonderful assistance from the Captain's Club concierge staff.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
Layout and design are fine, pretty simple, and much like other ships. There were crew members cleaning all day long. The health and safety risk was posed by passengers who chose not to wear masks to indoor activities (or even just walking around the ship), and were able to participate without a crew member asking them to place their mask.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Standard balcony stateroom; on the small side, but enough space to use just to sleep at night.
The open air 4x4 trip was fun, and the tour guide was fun. The trek to the waterfall was a little more than we expected, having to climb on or over large and wet/slippery rocks or walk through water. The waterfall itself was a little disappointing, just by its size.
iLounge staff: They may not have the full "A" team in place. The ships are running with less staff (because of the lower passenger counts), so many are pulling extra duties that they may not have full knowledge. I was on a ship that had entertainers running the trivia.
