Review summary

Relaxing itinerary and ports that meet the appeal of the majority of passengers. Food was good, not exceptional, but mainly, I felt that I was being pushed to pay for so many items at rates so much higher than other cruise lines. Never thought I would be asked to pay so much for internet, alcohol pushed at all meals, even in the buffet area, and even to the point of pay on demand movies.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
warm in terminal but they processed guests quickly...much confusions as to what lines you should be in

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
beautiful décor in main dining room. food was presented well but not all staff friendly or attentive to needs, clearing dirty dishes, etc. same in buffet. many tables with dirty dishes and not very many smiles. great selection for those with dietary restrictions

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
art auctions - too repetitive on offering the same pieces of art but still enjoyable. jewelry auctions and seminars were interesting and done with fun and efficiency

Entertainment

5 out of 5
only experienced hearing Charlotte and she was fabulous. in-room…. horrible selection of TV with shows repeating within 7 days and very few free movies which is hard on a 14 day transatlantic cruise.

Children's Programs

no children

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
loved my room steward and many of the staff were nice but there was an overall feeling of unhappiness from the staff I experienced. Amazing to me how many times I was greeted with a scowl, cut in front of, etc

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
very clean. Did not like the stateroom doors opening out into the hall. much of the art and décor I did not like - maybe too contemporary - but I believe well thought out.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
very clean and size was as expected. Comfort was there but did not like the doors opening out, the TV interactive part did not work

Ports of call

Ponta Delgada, Azores

4 out of 5
rainy so did not take tour but the town is beautiful in its architecture and the people friendly

Cobh (Cork), Ireland

5 out of 5
did not go into Cork but Cobh is a lovely quaint town

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
very fast and efficient
