This cruise is directed to an older crowd with very few children. The ship is beautiful and well maintained. If you are a seasoned wine drinker then this is your cruise. The itinerary was great and the islands were all very scenic. Plenty of excursions to suit any taste. Do not expect any real wild events. Most activities are directed not to the young but to the young at heart.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
It was quick until we got to the check in desk. The gentleman at the desk was apparently in training and the process was greatly slowed at this point.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining room food was good but the service was hit or miss. Some nights service was painfully slow and on other nights it was very efficient. We had my time dining and never had to wait long to be seated. The buffet was clean and well maintained. A little more variety would have been nice. They also need a few more late night choices other than pizza ie: hamburgers, hotdogs and maybe some deli type sandwiches.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Not many onboard activities other than the pool. The grass lawn club area was a nice touch with some playing bocci ball. Since this cruise is aimed at a more senior group outdoor activities were not a priority. It does have a nicely equipped fitness center. Most activities were confined to the inside of the ship. ie: Art auctions, wine tasting, bingo etc.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The entertainment was also hit or miss. The Elysium show was a nice production. The two comedian shows were also good. The activity director Pete was a man of many talents from singing to DJ. The best entertainment was when Pete did a hypnosis show. It was both interesting and hilarious.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
All ship personnel we that we encountered were friendly, helpful and professional.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Beautiful ship. Always being cleaned and maintained. The grass lawn club was a nice area to relax. Elevators were the most efficient I've experienced.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin 1028 was an accessible room. It was spacious and well laid out with a large unobstructed balcony. The room was kept perfect every day by room attendant Bam. There were plenty of draws but the storage closet was definitely on the small side. I do not think I would book a concierge room over a standard balcony next time. The extras are few and the service in a standard room would be very similar. Never saw our concierge the entire cruise.
Ship tip
Stick with a standard balcony room over concierge cabin. The concierge perks are small. We never once saw the concierge and only dealt with our room attendant.
Did a beach day outside of port near main area downtown. The area is still recovering from the hurricane but is the best area for beach and refreshments. How can you beat two chaise lounge chairs an umbrella and five beers for 20 bucks. If you can tell me where and that'll be my next trip. Still a beautiful port.
Just came off the reflection April 1 and loved it. Clean. Nice rooms. Great food. Went to 3 shows. All good. Went to qsine speciality restaurant. That is a must for the show at dinner. Love the maat grill burger's
I hope you did your homework when choosing Celebrity Reflection and were prepared for what you got. We did and are looking forward the our cruise on Reflection.
