Review summary

Even with embarkation pretty much a fail, the ship, food, staff and trip was great. Will definitely sail with Celebrity again and can't wait to experience the Edge.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Celebrity cannot be blamed for the weather conditions that caused the boarding delay and I do believe in safety first, but don't believe they were doing that good a job in moving folks through the check-in process even before the movement of the ship became an issue. Communication was terrible; I witnessed  a Sheriff's Deputy come inside and tell the guy that was in charge of the shore side operations that the people outside had no idea what was going on and he needed to let them know what was happening. The guy was totally overwhelmed with what was going on.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Didn't experience the specialty dining, Buffet was average, Main Dining Room food was great

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Pool deck was clean, well maintained and adequately staffed. The fitness center was clean and had plenty of equipment.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows were great and the theater was never overcrowded. The cirque de soleil like show called Euphoria was tremendous.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was great and did an incredible job of insuring that we had a good time.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Even with the recent drydock, some parts of the ship , although clean and well maintained, are showing their age.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was clean and spacious with plenty of storage, but once again showing the ships age.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

I live there

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
First trip to Puerto Rico, needed more than the time allotted

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
The trip to Malo Beach to watch the airplanes land is an absolute must

St. John's, Antigua

5 out of 5
I really like Antigua a lot. We were there on Christmas Day, so much of the the area immediately outside the port was closed. Always have had a great time there.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We walked off with just a slight delay. Very well done.
