Review summary

Our favorite part of the ship were the specialty restaurants that we went to (Tuscan Grill, Lawn Club and Murano).  The main dining room (Opus) had GREAT food as long as you don't order red meat (steak, lamb, etc.). The staff were attentive and very friendly, but seemed a little unorganized at time, but still were really nice.

The shows were horrible and cheesy at best.  The comedian and the 4 Tenors Of Rock were awesome, but the in house entertainers were not that good and laughable at times.  The excursion in Cozumel to Chincha nitza (spelling?) was deplorable.  It was 3 hrs to travel there, and then...on the bus, they said we would only be on site for 1 hour.  If we had known that, we would have never paid $127 a person.  We had no time in port to shop or anything else.  We brought this up to Jovan at the Excursions desk and he was very accommodating and said they would update the description allowing people to know how long they had after a 6 hr traveling day and he refunded us some of the cost.

Getting on the boat in Miami was seamless and leaving the cruise was a breeze.

We had a GREAT time, but there are certainly areas of improvement needed.  Labadee was HORRIBLE!!!  We got badgered literally the second we neared the market.  They were actually really mean about it if you didn't want to go into their shop/hut.  They actually insulted us too because all of us got mad, turned right around and went back to the ship.  We didn't even have lunch they had set up for everyone.  I will NEVER go on an itinerary that includes Labadee again.

We got upgraded from an oceanview room to a balcony. However, when you look out from our balcony, you see a lifeboat and you can see the water beyond it. The view wasn't appealing also when you looked to the left you saw a large crane type device that clanked all night long and was very loud.

Ship tip

Get the Specialty Restaurant package ($135 per person) and you can eat in 4 of them. Worth the money!!!! Be patient with the staff.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

Stay a night before the cruise. Traffic driving into Miami can be a nightmare. Also, find a parking company outside of the port. You will save a bundle.

Cozumel, Mexico

Careful of the excursions you choose.

George Town, Grand Cayman

Go to the butterfly farm!!! It's not an excursion offered, close to the port, and cheap and beautiful!!

Falmouth, Jamaica

Don't go in November. Seas were too choppy for the tenders and we had to miss that port.

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Get off the boat, go to the bbq or the beach. AVOID THE MARKET. They hassle you so bad, you may feel violated. They are not supposed to badger you like they do in Mexico, but they are REALLLLLLLY bad. All of us got angry and returned to the ship.
