Review summary

Very nice cruise! Perfect handicap room for my husband that has balance issues. Very well kept ship. Food is still very good but not excellent. After 2 days the food seems all the same. Very good pastries but it's the same pastry choice every day. If there are 3000 passengers You can make more recipes than what they do. Tastes great but you feel bored with the same choices. Buffet seems huge but it's the same way. The desserts were really a disappointment .The beef and salmon were always done perfectly and very good quality.the drinks were also boring iced tea, coffee, guava juice and lemonade. No orange juice .if you order coffee through room service they used to bring a pot now it's a paper cup 1/2 full. It was all nice but they still need to improve. Shows are ok nothing to write home about. The live bands in the lobby were very good. Asked to have ice for our room and we got a little ice bucket in the morning and we always had to call in the afternoon.for more other passengers said that's something Celebrity is doing and they want you to call and cut down on usage. It was just irritating to us.same with the towels they always brought them within 10 minutes but why can't there be 4 towels left in the room at all times. When you want to take a shower you have to wait. On the whole I'd go again but defibately saw cut backs. Servers were good not great. Seemed to lack experience especially our sommelier Embarkation was great for my handicapped husband . Disembarking was terrible it took 3 hours. Handicapped people can't take that long when they have pain. It was like 2 people were taken down at a time and we had to wait for those same 2 chars to come back on the ship. Anyway it was nice for me to take my husband and be relaxing for me. We rented a scooter from Special Needs that worked out great. One last thing we asked twice to sit with a larger group and we gave up asking. My husband is physically handicapped not mentally we need social interaction but ended up sitting by ourself so all week next time I'll go beyond the 2 different Matre d's with my request. The reason I didn't this time is because they looked at us like who would want to sit with us because my husband used a scooter and that made us feel bad. I should have complained more. We need others to talk to like everyone else.

Cabin / Stateroom

Perfect size for a scooter with a true handicapped person with balance issues. I always felt he was safe but not crowded. There's a fine line because he needs to be close to things for support but he's 6'3" so he needs room too. What we'd both love to see is a recliner there was not one decent place to sit. The love seat was a joke and the hard desk chair offered no support. I'm 67 and my husband is 71 we would have paid extra for a better chair.

Ship tip

We loved the Mast Grill for the hamburgers with fried mushrooms and fried onions with really good fries.. The steaks in the Opus dining room were done just as ordered and very tender.
