Review summary

loved the ship; it was beautiful.  Room was very spacious compared to other cruise rooms we have had.  We could actually fit in the bathroom..  Entertainment sad to say needed some improvement.  Variety shows have gotten to be quite boring.  Staff was gracious and exceptionally friendly and helpful.  Buffet was different setup which I liked very much; it cut down the lines. I also liked the choice of one out of three perks  We never had the drink package before and we loved it .  Would  opt for it again in a minute.  We have done lots of cruises and I would rate this among the top 10 percent.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Appetizer portions were so small, we had to order two to equal one. They were tasy, however.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

1 out of 5
We saw a comedian who was ok but nothing else seemed appealing. It was all done many many times before and its boring.

Children's Programs

Had no kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our waiter actually memorized our names. They used to do this years ago but it seems to be a lost art. We were impressed.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Modern, classy. Unique ship design--lots of nooks and crannies.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Loved the cabin and the balcony. The stateroom attendant was also very personally involved. My husband was a little sea sick one day and she was very concerned about his welfare.

Ship tip

Little café on deck 5 for coffee and deserts and gelato. Was very nice.

Ports of call

Miami, Florida

3 out of 5
Miami is a beautiful port but we did not avail ourselves of the city at all.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
We arrived about 6 pm partly due to bad weather so we couldnt do very much after our early dinner.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Love the shopping, beautiful weather and the abililty to purchase a larger amoount of liquor to take home.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
Been to St. Maarten several times; we are shopped out. It is a beautiful port, however and the boat taxi to town is a nice boat ride.

Never been seasick myself ( even when sailing the Caribbean during hurricane Hugo in 1989 !) - but I read that green apples an crackers can help alleviate the nausea.

I hope some day to cruise on this ship.  I have taken three cruises on Celebrity and loved each of them.  Thanks for your tip.  Gloria
