Review summary

We were surprised to see that everything was really clean and not as bad as other reviewers had indicated (ship dated, etc.) We enjoyed our first cruise.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was great. We loved the main dinning area. Food here was the best. We did not try the Olympic (Specialty Dinning) but are sure it would have been just as great or superior to the Metrolpolitan (main dinning area). The buffets were always available and had ample food. The breakfast time was the busiest. Room service was available but we feel it was just "ok" as they had sent our order on more than one occassion missing items or sending the wrong item....

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows in the theater were good. James Stephens III was on board doing a show....funny and talented. The theater shows are timed pretty close to the dinning times so be aware of that.....you may end up rushing through your meal if you miss one of the other showings. The cinema was good as well, but they show the same movie all day long. they should show a couple different movies each day and alternate it so its not the same movie all day but if you miss it you could catch it at another time.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was nice and polite. We couldn't find the arcade when we were on deck 11 in the aft portion of the ship. I spotted an mechanic/engineer emerging from a restricted area doorway and even he was polite, greeted us and show us to the arcade.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Everything was clean and storage space in the stateroom was ample. However, there was an upleasant odor (sewage like smell) in a few areas of the ship we passed through....not so nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We loved the Veranda/Balcony stateroom. We were in 9039 at the forward portion of the ship. Great view.

Pros: Food, Stateroom

Cons: Length of Time at Ports of Call
