Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food and availability of food at all times so, wonderful overall. Liked the variety offered and dining times made available. Ambience is warm and comfortable. Quality of food is very good most times, sometimes a bit too salty in gravies and sauces and few dishes.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Manageable and good variety of options and instructions were clear.

Children's Programs

3 out of 5
We didn't utilize this too much but, we did visit the fun factory during the rockiest time of sailing at sea on 2nd day so, we had to depart from the room after a short visit.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Definitely added the extra touch to enjoyable cruising was the extra friendly, courteous and helpful staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Adequate size without too much customers, layout is well thought out, clean in public areas, interior decor is well done, great cleaning service to keep ship in neat clean and tidy condition throughout the ship. Easy access to all areas and rooms.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Stateroom seemed a bit smaller than shown in pictures on website but, manageable and comfortable enough. Amenities sufficient, cleaning services in staterooms are wonderful and appreciated. Location is great too as we were on penthouse deck concierge class with balcony. Great choice we made to enjoy the cruise even more.

Ports of call

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

3 out of 5
Stroll along the boardwalk to restaurant area by zip line to see whale sighting is very likely. The port shops were a must do in picking up great souvenirs and best priced compared to other ports.
Don't Miss: boardwalk along shore

Juneau, Alaska

5 out of 5
jewellry shops and large souvenir gift shop is must do and strolling through the town is very enjoyable.
Don't Miss: the whole town

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
discovery centre if kids are present is great way to educate oneself on landscape, history, animal and mammal culture in AK. I was finished seeing all the jewellry and gift shops in juneau and icy strait point so, by this 3rd stop I was not too interested in these shops which were all over town.
Don't Miss: discovery centre

Pros: Service, friendliness to children, courteous, quick service

Cons: a little bit of rough waters on 'at sea' day cruising up on 2nd day
