Review summary

great short cruise, not all that relaxing, due to the length, but definitely a good get-away. Mercury is filling in time between the summer Alaska cruises, and repositioning to Hawaii, and points south for the winter. seems like a big ship to be making this short trip, but it was good. staff is very friendly, food is better than ok, i love to go north, so the ports were fine for me. stateroom was large, clean, definitely above average, restaurants menus had enough variety to suit any tastes. this was our first Celebrity cruise, and would definitely do it again.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
food variety was outstanding, service was great, but the food was just good, our previous cruise on another line had much superior food.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
good music variety, too much selling, would like to have had more lectures, classes, etc, only one was just on whales, would have like to have had more on other ocean life, on life in the pacific northwest, or etc.

more room here than on our previous cruise. great layout, great bathroom, and nice big window.

beautiful city, i had been to Vancouver before and loved it, but was even more taken with Victoria. it is gorgeous, clean, beautiful buildings, and Butchart Gardens is a dont miss kind of place. the flowers were still beautiful. we took the city bus to get there, so that was a very good deal and only took less than an hour each way, and saved a bundle of cash !
Don't Miss: Butchart Gardens, the capital building,

cute little town, but i am not that much of a history buff so didnt see those sights. cute shopping area, but it was raining, and i can only take so many shops, so that was limiting. also being there in october is kind of limiting. probably would have been more to do in summer.

Cons: late seating for dinner
