We loved our time on the Equinox. Met and chatted to so many interesting people from all parts of the world. 9 nights is a good length of time on the ship.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
Arrived at Port early due to hotel check out time. Walked straight on board, no lines, lots of volunteers to guide you through. Went straight to Cabin to drop off bags.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Enjoyed the food and tried lots of new drinks. Chocolate martini at the Martini bar was amazing. The bar tender even wrote my name on it in chocolate. Went to Le Petit Chef for our anniversary treat. It was fabulous. Would definitely recommend for all ages.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
We walked all over the ship, sat in every public space, took part in trivia, enjoyed karaoke, theatre shows, relaxed on the pool deck. Was as busy or as relaxed as we needed to be. Husband did the hot glass class and loved it.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
Went to every show in the theatre. Singers and performers were amazing, house band very good, comedian Lamont Ferguson was hilarious at his "adult" show. DJ played good tunes. Cruise director Angela and Activities head Dave were great fun.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Third Celebrity cruise and the staff on all three have been exceptional. From cabin steward to buffet and bar staff to dining room sommelier they truly couldn't do enough for you.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Preferred the observation lounge on Equinox to the half lounge on Reflection. Easy to find your way around the ship, though I kept turning left instead of right and vice versa when getting off the elevators! Everywhere was very clean. Decor a wee bit dated but didn't dampen the cruise for us.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Interior cabin 1144 on deck 10. Comfortable and spacious.
Ship tip
Don't be put off by it being an older ship. She holds her age well.
Took a taxi to Mambo beach and loved it. Very busy so would recommend getting there before 10.30 am to get your choice of beach loungers. Walked over the floating bridge at night and had drinks at the water side. Out the next morning walking through the fort and the shops. Lovely place.
Walked around town and stopped for drinks and wandered through souvenir shops. Did the cruise excursion on a catamaran for the Sunset Cruise. Great time, well worth it.
Elevators were slammed but to be expected. We were on the 10th floor so an easy walk up the stairs to breakfast. Took our time then walked off at 9 am. Got a taxi immediately to our hotel.
