Review summary

We had a great time, but since it was billed as a holiday cruise we were super disappointed in the lack of holiday activities.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

There were a couple of nights where the main dining menu didn’t sound appealing to either of us, so we got wings at the Craft Social bar. They were the best wings we’ve had!

Entertainment

This was booked as a Holiday Cruise. It was our third holiday cruise- the first on Celebrity. Aside from a couple of trees decorated silver and white, there was nothing indicating this was a holiday cruise. That aspect was very disappointing. Aside from the above, the majority of the entertainment was pretty bad, for a Celebrity cruise. Most cruises, we end up hanging out in the venues where the great talent is. This one was lacking talent.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Celebrity has the best staff of any of the cruise lines we’ve been on.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was a clean ship. I saw a lot of reviews where people complain about rust on the exterior. Yes, this ship is showing her age, but she’s old. The interior was very clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

Clean & comfortable. The weather was lousy so we didn’t use our balcony, but it was spacious enough for two chairs and a table. The bathroom was clean- no mold, mildew or issues there.

Ship tip

If you don’t want the food that’s being offered in the main dining room or buffet, you can get some decent bar food for a small up charge at the Craft Social.

We took a local taxi/bus to the public beach at Seven Mile beach. It was $12pp RT, which is cheaper than any of the cruise or Shipmate offerings. I heard one lady say they walked from the ship and it took 20 minutes, I think she said. That’s not bad, but with the traffic there I wouldn’t recommend walking. Two chairs and an umbrella were $25. Still cheaper than other offerings. We didn’t get food or drinks because we were there pretty early and nothing seemed appealing so we went back to the ship for a late-ish lunch. Prices were typical of tourist spots- $11-17.

We ate at a restaurant called The Conch House. They had the best conch fritters anywhere! The food and drinks were great. There was a long wait for seating, so we ate at the bar and the service was delightful.
