Review summary

Had a lovely time. The crew makes this cruise 💯 ❤️

Embarkation

No real “priority” for Concierge Class. Maybe once you get through the first line, but the first step you wait in line with everyone else. Don’t bother taking your picture before your cruise, they will just take it again “to be safe”. This really slowed down the process. Why bother having people take the time to take pictures of themselves if you’re just gonna do it anyway?? The worker we encountered said “oh, you don’t have your marriage certificate??” As we use our birth certificates for boarding and plan to get passports soon. I said nope, nowhere online does it say you need to have your marriage certificate with birth certificate. She seemed confused and just said “it should be fine.” We got back and made it through customs and they didn’t even bat an eye... Terminal was nice at least.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The crew really made the meals worth it. Tuscan Grille was fantastic and our waiter, Diaz was perfect. There is no way you can finish all of your food. And it is all top notch. However, the main dining room menus were a little too fancy for me. And the food was about cafeteria quality if we’re being honest. The breakfast menu never changed. Again, the service is what made the food enjoyable. Food quality could be better.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not much to do other than pools/hot tubs. Which is fine with me, but there are so many old folks on scooters that crowd/slow things down. Again, I expected an older crowd, but 95% of the crowd on this cruise was on their way out the door...

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward, Benjie was the best. Our room was always well taken care of and spotless. He even organized our many charging cables. The bathroom was always spotless as well. We had many different servers in the MDR, too many to remember, but Ali, Sheldon, Mervin, etc. were awesome. We loved the staff.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship well maintained. People always cleaning common areas. Very well looked after ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Beautiful cabin. Huge Veranda and the size of the bathroom and shower were perfect. Well above average for a “Veranda” or Concierge.

Ship tip

Bring your patience. If you don’t like waiting on tons of old people in scooters or listening to a bunch of hacking and coughing at dinner the whole time, this isn’t the cruise for you.

Ports of call

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
By far our favorite port we have ever gone to, despite not docking in town near the Skyride that we had planned to ride... We did the Caribbean FastCast excursion. We were on a boat with Nikki, Corey, and Captain Jay. They were awesome. We swam with sea turtles and enjoyed rum punch. Would definitely do this again. So much fun!

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

5 out of 5
Extremely efficient and quick. From curb to ship in 15 minutes. Off the ship, through customs, and on our bus to the airport also only took 10-15 minutes.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Smoothest disembarkation and trip through Customs we have ever had. Very nice.
