The last sea day was very windy and I couldn’t take being on the Retreat deck so I dared to go by the main pool (gasp!). I found a sunny chair about 3 rows away from the pool so it wasn’t that crowded for after lunch on the last sea day. I ran into the captain that afternoon near the elevators and requested that he turned down the wind to a 5 (he did not, lol). He was very engaging the entire cruise and his 10 am updates were funny and entertaining.
Embarkation

Boarding was great using the Retreat Lounge. I was surprised at how crowded it was when I arrived around 10:45 - no seats left except at the bar. We boarded at 11:10, dropped our stuff in the room and went off to explore.

Food and Dining

Luminae was wonderful as usual all though a bit loud at times. The accoustics could be better. We tried Cypress 1 night and the food and service were wonderful. Hit Oceanview Cafe for a quick lunch one day while in port and were also pleased.
Onboard Activities

Retreat deck/pool/bar and lounge were fabulous! The Riedel wine tasting was wonderful - I would do that again. We also did the Oregon one but neither of us were a fan of the wines, just our personal taste. At the Retreat pool the 1st sea day there was a family with 2 or 3 small kids that were using the pool. Ok, I get it - they paid for the suite just like I did. However, they were then in the hot tub - I thought Celebrity policy was adults only for hot tubs. I could be wrong and had no intention on using it, just an observation. They were being kids and jumping around and playing but no one else used the pool while they were there (that I saw). I did not see them up there after that 1st sea day so maybe something was said.
Entertainment

I'm not a fan of the stage shows but only because I don't like musicals that much. The other musicians were wonderful. The Motown group was fabulous!

Our room steward Michael was wonderful - we didn't want for a thing. Our Butler Jess was just incredible. He also served us in the Retreat lounge a few times. He was able to cancel a shore excursion for us last minute and also book us a wine tasting the day before.
Ship Quality

The crew were always cleaning something. No dirty dishes left behind, just impeccable. The layout of the ship was very nice. Very easy to get around and find things. The app also helped with that, I used it a lot for locations of places.
Cabin / Stateroom

It was wonderful. Was mid ship on level 6 so it was convenient to every thing. We were on the same track as the Magic Carpet so we had a side window on the balcony so we could see the side of the ship without leaning over the balcony. The balcony was very spacious. 2 chairs a small table and a lounger. We ate breakfast out there once and there was plenty of room. A little disappointed in the shower however. We had a tub but only 1 shower head. There were several shower heads on Equinox and I missed them this time.
Ship tip
I viewed the inside of one of the infinite verandahs and it's not to my liking. I would rather have a balcony instead of a window.
One of my favorite islands. We did a bus/boat tour. We saw most of the island this way and then took the boat and sailed close to the outer islands. It was very nice.
Another one of my favorites. We did the double decker bus tour and were able to see a lot in the 4 hours. Only wish we had been at Maho beach between 12 and 2 when the jets arrive but next time.
Very easy. We stayed in the Retreat Lounge until almost the last minute. We were chatting with all the great passengers we had met and didn't want to leave. Walked right off and found our bags instantly.
Captain Tasos is an excellent Captain. We sailed with him twice on the Equinox and will be in the Edge with him this year. Live his daily updates. Highly recommend the Liars club show that he is part of, he is a real riot!
