Review summary

Edge is a lovely ship, crew is fantastic. This itinerary is for novice cruisers who only are interested in beach or shopping. Not much else to do in these ports.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Best ever - having a 30 min window to check in, and being able to go to our cabin immediately was great.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Liked the 3 "main" dining room concept. Oceanview Cafe buffet excellent. Ate at specialty restaurants Le Petit Chef (very cute concept), and steakhouse. Other in party weren't crazy about Edge meal, and no one wanted sushi at Raw or BBQ. Wish an Italian, French or Asian fusion type was available.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Shows rate a B, spa B+ (noisy where thermal chairs were due to everyone passing through), pool nice. Didn't do much else.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Have seen better shows/musical entertainment elsewhere

Children's Programs

Had a 1 yr old only

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone wonderful, from Oceanview Cafe to our steward, Leroy. Friendly and accommodating.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Wonderful ship, great design for the most part, sparkling

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Excellent size, nice rear balcony, comfortable bed.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Liked convenience of hotel, airport, port so close together.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras Did not visit port

Cozumel, Mexico Did not visit port

Wanted to do glass bottom boat, but wouldnt allow 1yr old (?), wanted to do small speed boats, but husband over 70. We HAVE a speedboat, so that was random also

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Been there before, didn't care

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Actually called us a little early, which was fine. Fast exit.

Your cruise itinerary could be enjoyed by all cruisers, novice or experienced, just depends on what the guest is looking for in a cruise when they book. Sometimes the ship and it's amenities are the main attraction, for others it's the ports of call or just the opportunity to set sail. Your cruise experience is what you make it.
