We booked this cruise as a spur of the moment decision after watching a Vlog that said it was sailing at 30% capacity. What a spectacular cruise! If you wanted a chair by the pool, you got it. You wanted one of those floating loungers, you got it. You wanted a drink, there was someone close at hand to get it for you. The crew was great. They were happy to be working again and were engaged with the passengers. It was a truly unique experience and we're glad we decided to take this cruise.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
We showed up a few minutes before our window, but we were welcome to begin the process. Basically we stopped briefly twice to show our vaccination cards and boarding passes a couple of times, and other than that we kept walking until we were aboard and being welcomed with cheers from the crew. Took about 5-7 minutes from taxi to onboard.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
My husband is a very picky eater. Breakfast and lunch were not a problem, he was fine. Dinner was a challenge. We tried the buffet, Blue and all 4 of the main dining rooms. The last place we tried was Normandy. He loved it and we returned the next night as well. It will be our go from now on. My meals were all wonderful and truly all the restaurants are a good choice.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
The ship sailed at 30% of passenger capacity, but had a full crew in place. There were lots of activities from trivia and other games to scavenger hunts to a silent disco. All quite fun. We especially enjoyed the scavenger hunt where we had to take selfies with our finds. Our selfie with the bartenders at the pool bar is hilarious. Those guys were totally up for it.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
I tend to like the stage productions put on by the crew more than the guest violinist or a doppelganger of some famous singer. While one of the shows was fine, the second one was truly bizarre and didn't make any kind sense.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Celebrity always has top notch service, but with a full crew and just 900 passengers, service was over the top phenomenal!
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
She's a beautiful ship. Loved the running track which made a figure 8 on the top two decks. I loved starting my day running with a glorious view of the sea. Eden was a really cool place on ship with lots of levels, nooks, crannies, indoor spaces and outdoor spaces. Quite wonderful.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Cabin was beautifully designed, had great storage, bathroom shower was excellent (Aqua Class). My husband really liked the infinite veranda, me not so much. To me, it was like having an ocean view room with a window that opens. When you open the window so the space can function like a balcony, the AC cuts off in your cabin.
Ship tip
Only the suites have traditional balconies. All other verandas have the infinite verandas.
Really do not like the high pressure to buy from the vendors in the port area. Once you get into Cozumel, it's not as high pressure, but definitely still there. Enjoyed Mr. Sanchos. Beautiful beach, good food.
We did early walk off. We walked off the ship and thru the terminal, stopping to do the face recognition thing and then we were out in the open air. Literally 5 minutes from boat to taxi.
