This is a really good ship with wonderful staff and amenities. the food is very good though some of the food did not match the description, largely because the chef was trying to fancy up too much. Wait staff is top notch. There were very few children on board and those we did see were extremely well mannered.
On the whole very good. The Broadway show was misleading since it involve only 1 song from a Broadway show and he rest for West End London theater. Topper was a reworking of a prior show on this ship. The around d the ship presentations and music were excellent and special kudos go to the cruise director Anna Dolce.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Our butler Katerina was simply wonderful as were the Retreat staff.. Our waiter and his assistant in Luminae could not have more attentive, and the folks on the 14th floor were helpful at all times
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship is easy to maneuver in and well marked and beautifully appointed. I do miss the paper maps that used to be furnished as the ship is almost all touchless as everything is on their app. As I do not live on my telephone and being at sea 3 days and at Bermuda for 3 days meant that International Calling is needed to avoid extra charges since the phone must be on almost all of the time.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Suite wage huge for a cruise ship. I have had cabins smaller than the bathroom on Eclipse.. Big balcony with chairs, foot rests and table. Plenty of storage. Note: this ship is due for a "refresh" very shortly which, we are told will address the lack of any USB ports in the suite.
Ship tip
1 Relax and enoy. 2 Skip the casino. It is loud long and narrow makking if feel very crowded at all times and it ks understaffed so Service (i.e. HELP) may take a very long time to arrive.
Boring. Little island with not much to see and less to do. A day in Boston, Providence, Newport, Gloucester or Provincetown would have so much better and would not have required tendering a VERY long way to shore.
The Regreat staff again were top notch making getting off the ship easy. Porters are needed in baggage claim and the ports vehicle access for pick up of arriving passeners is pathetic. Flying from Newark is an experience to be missed.
