Review summary

This was our first Celebrity cruise, and it was definitely a better experience than our Royal Caribbean Cruises. The crew were all amazing and spoke enough English to communicate at all times. The captain did some amazing maneuvers which showed off his experience. The cruise director seemed to be everywhere.

Embarkation

1 out of 5
Worst embarkation ever on any cruise ship. The Valparaiso port is mostly for cargo and the people there were of no help. But on the ship it was worse due to the Chilean government forcing the ship to collect all passports.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We never went to a specialty restaurant because the quality and choices in the main dining room was much better than expected.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The enrichment sessions were interesting. The extra experiences given to passengers with elite status were outstanding.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The ship's orchestra, bands and production performers were excellent. The guest headliners were sometimes not so good.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone gave us outstanding service, from sommeliers to room stewards.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Even though the ship was full, we found there to be plenty of space at most times. Very clean throughout.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was very clean. Space utilization could be improved.

Ship tip

Try out all the lounge and bar areas to find your favorites.

Ports of call

Valparaiso (Santiago), Chile

4 out of 5
Only saw this while being driven to the cruise port.

Puerto Montt, Chile

2 out of 5
We could have skipped this port. Only worthwhile if going inland for an adventure.

Cruise Chilean Fjords

4 out of 5

Cruise Strait Of Magellan

4 out of 5

Punta Arenas, Chile

5 out of 5
No excursion, but enjoyed the downtown area.

Ushuaia, Tierra Del Fuego, Argentina

5 out of 5
There are so many places to go or see from this port. It was very windy but the city is pretty and nice to walk around.

Cruise Cape Horn

5 out of 5

Puerto Madryn, Argentina

5 out of 5
No excursion, but really enjoyed the beach and shopping areas.

Punta Del Este, Uruguay

5 out of 5
My favorite port on this trip. It's such a beautiful area to drive around.

Buenos Aires, Argentina

5 out of 5
Did not do a ship excursion but stayed for 3 nights after the cruise. It is an amazing city.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Just the typical find your luggage and fight the crowds.

Thanks for the review and details. We like Celebrity too! Fits our expectations and budget. Best part is taking our status from Celebrity and when we do take RCCL getting the benefits of some status onboard.
