Review summary

This is the newest Celebrity ship, and was making only its second Carribean Cruise. The dining was excellent and the specialty restaurants were superb. The bar areas offered a variety of choices from load to intimate. We particularly liked the Enselble Lounge or Michael's Club, which were located near the specialty restaurants, and provided a great atmosphere for before or after dinner entertainment and drinks. Celebrity now also offers a variety of full cruise beverage packages, which fixes the price and eliminates the hassle of signing for all the drinks. As for the cruise itinerary, we are not particularly fans of the Western Carribean, but Costa Maya and Roatan provided suprisingly interesting things to see, although thay are places we would most likely only do once. Being the week after Thanksgiving, the ship was not completely full, and even with over 2,000 passengers you never felt crowded. Overall, a grat cruise experience.

Food and Dining

The 3 specialty restaurants were all excellent, yet different. You felt you were dining in 5 star reastaurants on land. The Qsine is especially interesting. Quirky but delicious food you wouldn't see anywhere else. Main dining room was wonderful, great waiter, and plenty of choices.

Cabin / Stateroom

Although cruise cabins always feel somewht crowded, this provided ample room to move about. The balcony (veranda) was quite comfortable for 2. Although we didn't there would be room for 2 to eat on the balcony.

Ports of call

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

We organized a tour from nativechoice.com which came highly recommended by Trip Advisor. The company is run by 2 brothers, whose father is actually the first person to find the Mayan ruins at Chacchoban, and they spent there childhood on the site. Our guide was Ivan, and his personal knowledge and passion about his life and culture made this tour to the ruins come alive. It was capped off with a traditional Mayan lunch prepared by Ivan's mother and friends in her home. This may be the best tour we have ever been on

George Town, Grand Cayman

We've been here before, and just took an island tour we organized on land. If you don't want to snorkel, scuba dive, or play with dolphins, or just go to the beach there is not a lot to do

Cozumel, Mexico

Similar in many respects to George Town. We organized a taxi on land to take us around the island. We stopped at a Tequila Tour which was interesting, drove along the rugged eastern shore of the island which was quite beautiful, and stopped for lunch at a nice beachfront resort

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

We again organized an island tour from Victor Bodden tours, also highly recommended by Trip Advisor. There are many activities and sites to see, and you kind of select from a menu of what you want, and they take you there. We had an extremely knowledgeable driver whose native language is English, and who has lived aon the island all her life. We went to the Iguana farm, the Monkey exhibit, the Botanical Garden as planeed. Along the way my brother said he was interested in a zip line experience, and with no problem this was added to the tour. We ended with a lunch on the west end of the island at an oceanfront restaurant called Half Moon Resort. We asked our driver to join us for lunch, and she continued to provide more info on this fascinating island. By far, Roatan is the most beautiful of the 4 ports. A lush green island with lots of hills and elevation changes, whereas all the others were flat land
Don't Miss: Being climbed on and having your pocket picked by the monkeys

Pros: Wonderful Ship with Lots to do
