Great Cruise but very tiring! by BrendaJ30234123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Ship was a good size. The upgrades of ship helped a lot. The bedrooms could still have some updating but the baths were better. Like the choice dining very much. Smooth sailing was great!

Average Cruise by ATraveler33

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

Excursions too far away from port average apx. 2 hour each way and very expensive. Being that it was an Immersive Wine Cruise - Expected some sort of wine treat to be included with dinner, etc. instead was charged $10 to 20.00 for any sort of tasting.

Good cruise with great itinerary by SharonW22235559

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

Ship appeared to need a major upgrade. Food was ok but not great, have had much better on several other cruises. Ships crew was teriffic, went out of way to help whenever needed. Entertainment was what is normally expected on a cruise ship (not too good and not too bad(

constellation by HenryL9653110

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe

Ship windows were dirty. Our room smelled of mold and the hall of cigarette smoke. 1st room attendant was not professional. Finally got a room change. All other crew members were top notch.

Outstanding by MiriamK

Sail date: /
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The cruise was relaxing while we were at sea; the pace picked up when in port, as there was a lot to do in each of the cities visited.

Everything was a problem by Dennis5

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

Our cabin literally smelled of sewage. We were told nothing could be done since the ship was full. So, we told them the accommodations were not habitable and we wanted a refund and would leave at the first port of call. Then, we were given another room, which was also an upgrade. Our dining was also a problem. They assigned us to early seating when it should have been late, and it was a fight to fix that. They also didn't have us booked for airport transfers even thought they were requested, and we had to fight to fix that too. There were several other little problems which would all take too long to list, but suffice it to say that they were a nightmare to work with. Plus, the itinerary is poorly planned out. St Petersburg is a very poor choice for the overnight stay. There is very little there except for celebrity's overpriced, poorly planned excursions. Due to Russian visa controls, you can't leave the ship without a tour, and when you do see St Petersburg, it doesn't offer nearly as much as the other ports. Nearly everyone I spoke with was very underwhelmed with it.

A Good First Experience with Celebrity by VirginiaN

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

We were disappointed at first...we've been sailing with Norwegian, which has a brighter, younger feel with higher ceilings. The Constellation decor was bland in comparison. But we got over that quickly. The ship was clean and in good condition. Internet access was a nightmare. No availablity in the staterooms and only three hotspots for WiFi. The internet was down very often...much more so than our experiences with other ships. The internet staff was helpful but with a rather unfriendly attitude. The one and only time we asked the concierge a question he was rather snippy, but the rest of the staff was very nice.

Highly Recommend Transatlantic Cruise! by HeatherH4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Transatlantic

Nice ship. Nicely decorated and well maintained. Great option for relaxing cruise. Not a lot to do if you require a lot of outside entertainment. I would guess the average passenger age is 65 to 70. My husband and I are in our 40's and were looking forward to some much needed down time. There are two pools but both rather small and used mainly by lap swimmers. Certainly enough to get in a cool off while getting some sun but if traveling with young children, not a great play pool. GREAT gym! Plenty of equipment; probably 10 treadmills, 8 or so elliptical machines, bikes, nautilus type equipment and free weights plus decent floor space for classes and stretching. It was well used and well maintained. My husband worked out every day at 7am and I worked out every other day at 10am and we never waited for equipment...Treadmills are most popular and I did choose to do the elliptical one day when there were no treadmills available but great area. We choose a S1 Suite and thought the room was really nice, spacious for a cruise ship and loved the veranda with the two reclining chairs and ottomans. Food was good and plentiful. We did not eat at any of the specialty restaurants as I am not interested in paying a surcharge. Service in all areas was very good and the staff was very accommodating. Over all, great trip!

Enjoyable Cruising! by DorothyK3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Transatlantic

WE enjoyed the lecture series on Astronomy by Professor Hughes. WE would have liked more in depth talks about the countries we were visiting done by experts who could tell more about the country rather than talk mostly about the excursions available. We also were disappointed that religious services for our faith ( Catholic) were lacking because there was no priest on board. Our previous cruise experiences there was a priest available.
