Review summary

We recently sailed on the Constellation to the Western Carribbean. It was our first cruise over 7 days, and we would only travel this way again. It was fabulous. The staff, the service, the food was more than we could have hoped for. We only got off the boat in two ports we were so pleased with the on ship service and amenities. It is a wonderful way to travel. The Ocean Liner restaurant was so good we went twice. The service there was better than any five star restaurant we have been to, and they were wonderful enough to share a recipe with me for something I adored. I am making it at home, but it is not quite the same as being served this dish with the flair the staff had. The main restaurant staff was warm and welcoming and made you feel just like family. This was the relaxing, rejuvinating vacation we needed, and we are anxious to do it again.

The ship was easy to navigate around. The decor is beginning to show some wear, but it is still beautiful and adequate.

Cabin / Stateroom

The stateroom was adequate, and the balcony wonderful. The wear in the curtains and on the doorjams is becoming apparant. The bathroom also had some wear in the corners of the outside of the showers.

Ports of call

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

This port was diverted because of civil unrest in the country. We did not get off the ship at the alternate stop in Mexico. We were not planning on getting off in Costa Rica either because of the unrest in that country.
